Wow, I thought the version of “Before It Breaks” on the show sounded more raw and acoustic than the album version on Give Up the Ghost… I’ll have to listen again.

Great review! Very much looking forward to this show. I’ve had the good fortune to see the pilot as well. And the Brandi Carlile track is actually the album version of “Before It Breaks,” but the show edited it a bit to keep it in the pocket for the scene. I agree with your appraisal of the show’s excellent music on the whole!

All we can say is we spend the entire off season waiting for the next season of Monk. My wife and I love Shaloub on Wings and watched weekly when we were first married. Now with a 13 and 10 year old, this is the kind of comedic entertainment we can all watch together. If Monk must end then I must say, thank you for two great series Mr. Shaloub. We are greatful for the laughs and tender moments you and both casts have acted out on the screen. We two look forward to what comes next for you and hope you are fortunate enough to create a winner like Monk again.

Sorry admin, but you’re out of luck if you expect Qtrax to work with any other MP3 player besides those compatible with Microsoft’s proprietary Plays For Sure DRM scheme. I wouldn’t bother investing time into Qtrax as a source for music, as with the cases of Ruckus, SpiralFrog, and MSN Music, which ultimately all failed, you’ll no longer be able to play any of your music due to the DRM scheme when they cease operations. If you don’t mind essentially renting your music and not knowing when the lease could suddenly end, then by all means.

There are multiple mistakes here, first off, Tyler Labine’s contract does in fact extend into syndication so if the show gets picked up by the affiliates he will be back, also because the show is so inexpensive to produce, at this point chances for syndication are very good (the CW affiliates are averaging about a .5 in the sunday night ratings and reaper typically tops 1.0 so considering the low price tag a deal could be good for all involved, also the affiliates are looking for something to pair with the very successful Legend of the Seeker). Everyone please google “reaper syndication” and write your local affiliate telling them to pick up reaper (especially if you live in an area covered by the Tribune stations, if they buy reaper syndication is likely a done deal). I would give you the link but I don’t know the rules here, but REAPER IS VERY SAVABLE, don’t let this show be the next Firefly!

My big problem with Qtrax at this point is that the tracks are all protected in such a way that you have no way to put it on an MP3 player and listen to it on the go. And I’d like to see a solution to that which doesn’t involve proprietary players; I own one MP3 player already (Insignia Sport) and I don’t want to have to buy one that is Qtrax-specific.

Check out qtrax now is all I can say a year later but all of universal and emi catalog available now for free legal downloads Sony also signed but much music still missing as of now warner music group only holdout Look for portability with in weeks?

The show can continue just fine. Lex can return as a shadowy figure, not showing his face for reasons of keeping his identity and movements of evil hidden from all but clark etc. Clark should take to the air and in doing so just miss Lex as he is on his quest for the eradication of evil in the world Almost catches him but just misses. Michael could on occasional shows appear to Clark from his sanctuary of doom (or whatever) just to let Clark know that evil lives in the world.
