Hold on to the dog supplies, as Ass of the Year Michael Moore is releasing another piece of political propaganda, this time free via the Internet. The tripe is called “Slacker Uprising” and basically is the same hash he’s been slinging for the last few years, only staler.

It’s kind of sad; Moore was at one time a promising satirist, but has become nothing more than the left’s most un-funny political hack – next to Al Franken, perhaps. That’d be a close call, actually.

Now, all he can do is try to be increasingly outrageous in a vain attempt to extend his 15 minutes of fame. He’s become the male film director version of Madonna.

If any other movie in America had debuted in the ninth spot on the movie charts in its opening week, taking in less than $1.5 million, it would be declared an abject failure and barely a blip on the radar. But since the film is by Hollywood’s second-favorite propagandist (sorry, Mikey, but Al Gore now has the top spot), no one’s willing to admit the floppish nature of Moore’s new anti-everything-not-as-ultra-liberal-as-he-is film, “Sicko.”

Except me, of course.

The sweet bit is this: a long-overdue sequel to the Die Hard franchise, starring America’s favorite patriot and closet conservative, Bruce Willis, came in second, seven spots above Moore and raking in about seven times more than the bespectacled filmmaker.

Of course, these are Friday-only figures, so the jury’s still out, but it’s unlikely “Sicko” will be catching up to “Live Free or Die Hard,” like, ever. And a note to Officer John McClaine: the terrorist behind all those evils you’ve been fighting now for four films goes by the initials M.M., and he’s not that interested in living free, so… you know… do what you must.

Now, before y’all start filling up mailboxes saying I’m advocating anyone’s demise, keep in mind that JOHN MCCLAINE IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER!

But then, increasingly as time goes on, so is Michael Moore.

Any conservative going anywhere near Michael Moore’s new fictumentary, Sicko, would need to wear motorcycle sunglasses to enter the theater unrecognized. According to early reports, there’s not much they’d be interested in seeing, anyway, as it is just more of Moore’s typical truth distortions and outright propaganda.

The main injustice he focuses on is the tendency of insurers to deny expensive procedures and claims, typically due to failure of patients to obtain pre-approval for procedures. While such situations typically tick people off, what Sicko Moore doesn’t acknowledge in his screed is that such injustices are not all that common. It happens – no one denies that – but the film gives one the impression it’s happening at a rate far more often than what is actually taking place.

The film also fails to acknowledge that there are extenuating circumstances to some of the denials. Sometimes these extenuating circumstances legitimately make the insurers look bad because they’re being shifty. But sometimes the patients are at fault, too.

The main weakness of Sicko Moore’s film, though, is that is solution is a massive, government-run health care system that looks to government to be something it never has been: more efficient, cost effective and cutting-edge than the private sector. In essence, therefore, the film boils down to a campaign propaganda piece for Hillary’s White House bid.

Considering Obama is beating Hillary in most polls these days and there’s talk of Gore launching a new bid in which he might blow both Obama and Hillary out of the water, Moore may have climbed on board the wrong Democratic bandwagon.

It appears Michael Moore may have violated the US trade embargo against Cuba in the making of his forthcoming documentary, SICKO. In the film, Moore takes a handful of 9-11 rescue workers to Cuba in an attempt to prove the island nation has a better, more effective health care system than the United States.

That’s typical Moore liberalism and ridiculousness, but who cares, right? People long ago have either drank the Michael Moore Kool-Aid or he hasn’t. Trouble is, in doing so, Moore apparently did not comply with US law. Although he filed some of the necessary paperwork, online reports suggest more may have filed paperwork with incomplete information. Whether that’s valid or not, what appears to be valid is that Moore did not wait for government approval of his trip under his phoney-baloney “full time journalist” exception clause.

Of course, Moore’s no more of a full-time journalism than any blogger.

While Moore didn’t necessarily buy a set of Studio RTA furniture while he was down there, his journey may cost him a hefty fine; I suggest the fine equal the amount of Moore’s personal and business earnings from whatever SICKO rakes in at the box office. After all, Moore is rich… does he believe he needs to pay the government HIS fair share or not?

Liberalism ain’t so fun when it’s pointed at YOU, is it Michael?

Liberal loon filmmaker Michael Moore is at it again.

His upcoming film, Sicko, which will attempt to take a swipe at US health care, is simply another excuse to take another swipe at President George W. Bush… in a manufactured, truth-challenged way. The New York post reports that Moore attempted to take several 9-11 survivors with medical problems to Cuba, in the hope of making Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro’s health care system look superior to the US health care system. And has better logo pens.

Uhh, which country is home to the Mayo Clinic again? Oops, never mind, don’t bother Moore with the truth. It only upsets him.

Moore’s latest victim, a disabled medic named Michael McCormack, was contacted by Moore via phone.

“What he [Moore] wanted to do is shove it up George W.’s rear end that 9/11 heroes had to go to a communist country to get adequate health care,” McCormack told the Post.

Yet McCormack was left behind when the Moore train left the station for the arms of Uncle Fidel.

“It’s the ultimate betrayal,” McCormack said. “You’re promised that you’re going to be taken care of, and then you find out you’re not. He’s trying to profiteer off of our suffering.”

Classy guy, Mr. Moore! You’re right up there with New York Daily News columnist Michael Daly.

Sometimes I get so tired of Hollywood’s self-importance, I think it’s good to point out who the real celebrities are in our country: the troops who sacrifice their family life and their own personal safety to keep the world safe for John Kerry, Michael Moore and a lot of other ungrateful blowhards to belittle them and make fun of them.

Now more than ever, it would be a good time to invest in some printable greeting cards and write a note of support to any soldiers you know who are serving abroad. If you don’t know any, check with your local VFW and I’m sure they can get you a list.

With the new Democratic majority looking to possibly cut off funding, spurred on by liberal Hollywood types with no stomach for war, our men and women need to know some folks still care about them. Make yourself one of them!
